Alabama Splits Doubleheader with Samford and Alabama State

Matic Kriznik led the way for the Tide, going undefeated in both singles and doubles play throughout the day
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's tennis team (3-4) split a doubleheader on Sunday, sweeping Alabama State (2-3) in a 4-0 victory after falling earlier in the day to Samford (2-2), 4-3.
The day was highlighted by Matic Kriznik, who captured a pair of singles and doubles victories to go undefeated throughout the day. Kriznik, alongside teammate Vit Kalina, took the first doubles win in both matches as the No. 66-ranked duo paced paired play. In his first weekend playing for the Tide, Yoshka Sborowsky won his first and second matches with Alabama as he secured a win against the Bulldogs and Hornets.

- Matic Kriznik and Vit Kalina captured the opening doubles win in both matches as the duo dropped just three games to Samford and captured an exciting 7-6 (7) tiebreaker victory against Alabama State
