- Alabama will open the tournament with a semifinal match against Auburn
- The winner of the Tide's match against the Tigers will play the winner between host school Mississippi State and Santa Clara in the championship
- The winner of the championship match will advance to the ITA Indoor National Championships in Dallas and Waco, Texas (Feb. 13-17)
- The tournament was originally scheduled to begin Saturday, Jan. 24, but due to inclement weather, the tournament dates were changed
