Soccer Downs Michigan in Thrilling 3-1 Victory

After falling behind early, the Crimson Tide rattled off three goals to take the home win and move to 3-0 on the season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– In a thrilling come-from-behind win, the Alabama soccer team (3-0-0) defeated Michigan (2-1-0) in a 3-1 victory to remain undefeated on the season.
After a goal from Michigan in the opening 15 minutes of play, Alabama battled back with goals from Isabel Smith (34:30), Maddie Padelski (45:44) and Larkin Thomason (74:05) to claim the win.

How It Happened
- A stolen ball by Adi Walick led to Michigan’s goal as Walick played it over the top for Elle Ervin to chase down and take towards net in the 15th minute of the game
- Isabel Smith would claim the equalizer for the Tide 20 minutes later as Paige Thompson found the foot of Larkin Thomason
- Thomason would slide to direct the ball towards Smith as she ran into the box
- Just 44 seconds into the second half, Maddie Padelski netted the game-winning shot
- Nadia Ramadan found Kiley Kukan on the right side of the field, who took a quick cut back before playing the ball forward to Padelski
- Thomason added the final goal of the night, converting a penalty kick after being taken down in the box
- The goal was the first in a Crimson Tide uniform for Thomason
- Alabama paced the game in shots, 21-13, and shots on goal, 9-3
- Coralie Lallier registered two saves in the match
