JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Despite a five-hour severe weather delay, the Alabama men's track and field distance trio of Victor Kiprop, Dennis Kipruto and Dismus Lokira all finished in the top six of the 10,000-meter run, well ahead of the 12th-place cutoff, to effectively punch their tickets to Eugene, Ore., for next month's National Championships, June 11-14.
Throughout the 25-lap race, Kiprop (second, 29:00.88), Kipruto (third, 29:01.39) and Lokira (sixth, 29:03.27) all took turns leading the pack before the trio ultimately clocked their respective finishes.
