Alabama’s Lebron Named Brooks Wallace Award Player of the Week

The Crimson Tide shortstop received his first weekly honor from the College Baseball Foundation
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Alabama's Justin Lebron was recognized by the College Baseball Foundation (CBF) as the Brooks Wallace Award Player of the Week, the CBF announced on Tuesday. The weekly honor, highlighting the nation's top-performing shortstop, is the first such distinction of Lebron's collegiate career.

- Helped Alabama to a 3-1 week, including three ranked wins in his four starts at shortstop
- Batted 7-for-13 (.538) in four games, including two doubles, two home runs, four RBI, 15 total bases, one walk, one hit-by-pitch and one stolen base
- Managed multiple hits in three of the four contests across the week, while driving in at least one run in three of four games
- Closed his week with a 3-for-4 (.750) performance in Alabama's 5-4 win against then-No. 6 Georgia in the May 11 rubber game, guiding the Tide to its first home series win over the Bulldogs since 2015
