
Alabama’s Cryer Reaches 1m Dive Finals on Opening Day of NCAA Zone Championships

Cryer captured a career-best score in the prelims to propel him into the finals where he finished with a combined 593.65 score
AUBURN, Ala. – Alabama's Colten Cryer used a career-best 317.40 to advance to the finals on the 1m board, officially opening competition for the Crimson Tide diving team at the NCAA Zone B Championships.
After competing in the exhibition team event on Saturday, Cryer returned to the pool on Sunday posting a 317.40 in the prelims to secure the No. 12 spot overall and qualify for the finals. He would conclude the competition in 17th place with a combined score of 593.65.
Aided by his career-best performance in prelims, Cryer finished 45 points ahead of his score (548.15) in 2024.
Alabama returns to competition Monday with the women's 1m dive and men's 3m dive competitions.
