NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 17 Alabama women's tennis team dropped its Sunday afternoon match to No. 19 Vanderbilt, 5-2. The result marked the first SEC loss for Crimson Tide of the season, moving to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.
Match Notes
- Vanderbilt (10-1, 3-0 SEC) secured the doubles point after claiming victories on courts one and two
- Both of Alabama's points came during singles play after winning on courts four and five
- Klara Milicevic downed Sonya Macavei in straight-sets, 6-3, 6-2, to give the Tide its first point
- The final point for UA came from Sara Nayar after defeating Trinetra Vijayakumar in two sets, 7-5, 6-2
