Alabama Head Coach Ashley Johnston Said
"This was an extremely exciting night. I think first and foremost, I want to shout out our fans, our community – everybody that showed up tonight. The arena was packed, it was loud, it was electric and it certainly was a huge difference maker in our team's performance tonight.
"I'm really proud of how our team stepped in to compete today. This was the start of our second-third of the season. We've been training really hard, with a lot of intensity over the last couple of weeks, to start being more comfortable in uncomfortable situations. I felt like tonight, no matter what the opportunity was, everybody was ready to step in, deliver big performances and build on that momentum. [Tonight] was a great step in the right direction for us, and I'm excited to see a 197 [score]. While we can't control the score, we know what we earned and that we delivered [a strong] performance. This is a great place to build upon for next week."
