
Alabama Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honors

The Crimson Tide men paced rival SEC schools with a 3.57 GPA, while the women ranked second in the league with a 3.72
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's swimming and diving team held the highest fall grade point average among Southeastern Conference schools to earn College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team honors, the organization announced. Additionally, the Alabama women's team held the second-highest GPA among league opponents that received the honor.
The Crimson Tide women's team boasted a 3.72 grade point average for the fall, while the men's team recorded a 3.57 GPA. The 3.72 GPA for the women was a program best since Alabama started tracking fall and spring GPAs in 1990.
The Crimson Tide is coming off a strong fall that saw 21 performances rank inside the top 20 nationally, while seven dives earned a qualifying mark for NCAA Zones. UA concluded its regular season on Jan. 24. Competition for the SEC Championships in Athens, Ga., will begin Feb. 18.
