Alabama’s Sarah Ashlee Barker Named to Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Year Midseason Watch List

The graduate is one of 13 Southeastern Conference players named to the midseason 50 list
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women's basketball guard Sarah Ashlee Barker has been named to the 2024-25 Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Year Watch List, the U.S. Basketball Writers Association announced Monday.
Barker, who is in her graduate season with the Crimson Tide, is one of 13 SEC players to be named to the midseason list.

- Leads Alabama in scoring, averaging 16.7 points per game through 18 games this season
- Averaged 16.0 points per game during the Tide's 2024 non-conference schedule
- Since returning from injury on Jan. 26, Barker is averaging 22.3 points per game over UA's last three contests
- Barker scored a career-high 36 points versus Vanderbilt (Jan. 26) in her first game back from injury
- On Feb. 2, the Birmingham native tied her career-high in assists, dishing out eight versus Georgia
- Barker currently ranks fourth in the SEC this season in rebounds per game among guards with 6.1 rpg
- The graduate guard leads the Alabama in overall field goal shooting percentage (51 percent), while shooting over 60 percent from the floor in conference play
