Sarah Ashlee Barker Named to the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Midseason Team

The prestigious award recognizes the top women’s basketball player in the NCAA
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women's basketball guard Sarah Ashlee Barker has been named to the 2025 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Midseason Team, the organization announced Wednesday.

- One of 11 SEC players to make the midseason list and one of just 30 across the NCAA
- Picked up her third midseason honor in the last week, being named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award and to the Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Year Watch List
- Leads Alabama in scoring, averaging 16.9 points per game
- Since returning from injury on Jan. 26, has averaged 20.8 points per game
- Scored a career-high 36 points versus Vanderbilt (Jan. 26) before tying a career-high eight assists twice – versus Georgia (Feb. 2), at Mississippi State (Feb. 9)
- Collected back-to-back double-doubles during Alabama's road contest at Florida (Feb. 6 – 18 pts, 10 rebs) and at Mississippi State (Feb. 9 – 19 pts, 12 rebs)
