Football's Hubbard Named SEC Defensive Player of the Week

The junior safety helped lead the Crimson Tide to a 27-20 Iron Bowl win over Auburn last Saturday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Alabama's Bray Hubbard was named the Southeastern Conference's Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday morning.

The honor is the second of the 2025 campaign for Hubbard, who picked up identical honors following Alabama's 38-14 win over Wisconsin on Sept. 13. The weekly distinction also raises the Crimson Tide's total to 10 weekly awards this season.

Played a key role in the Crimson Tide's 27-20 win over rival Auburn
Intercepted a pass late in the third quarter as the Tigers were driving deep into Alabama territory for a potential game-tying score
Also forced a fumble with just under 40 seconds left in regulation, stalling the AU drive and allowing time for the Tide to bleed the clock on the way to the eventual win
Added two solo stops on the night
