
Volleyball Falls to No. 9 Texas A&M, 3-0, Sunday in Tuscaloosa

The Crimson Tide remain home next weekend facing LSU Friday, No. 2 Texas Sunday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama volleyball fell in three sets to No. 9 Texas A&M Sunday afternoon in Foster Auditorium by sets scores of 19-25, 9-25 and 18-25.
Alabama (8-6, 0-4 SEC) jumped ahead to an early 8-3 lead in set one, forcing a Texas A&M (12-2, 4-0 SEC) timeout. The Aggies fought back to take the lead at 14-13 and remained ahead for the rest of the set, winning 25-19. Texas A&M took a 2-0 match lead after a 25-9 win in the second set, but the two teams were locked in a closer battle for most of the third. The Crimson Tide was within striking distance when a kill from Sophie Agee made it a one-point game at 16-15. Texas A&M maintained its slim lead and, up two later at 19-17, closed out the frame with a 6-1 run to win, 25-18.
