William Jennings earned the honor for the first time in program history
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's golfer William Jennings has been named the Ben Hogan Award's September Golfer of the Month, the organization announced Friday. Jennings, a sophomore from Greenville, S.C., becomes the first Crimson Tide golfer to receive this honor in the award's two-plus years of its existence.
The September honor also places Jennings on the radar for the 2026 Ben Hogan Award presented by Baird, which celebrates the most outstanding collegiate golfer considering all competition during the 2025-26 season.
William Jennings, Ben Hogan Award's September Golfer of the Month

- Jennings led the Tide to the championship by winning medalist honor at the event, finishing at six-under par (207)
- He capped the month when he tied for first overall (lost medalist honors in a playoff) at 1-under par (209) at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational
- He finished that event as one of only five golfers in the 75-man field to finish the tournament below par
- Earned the SEC Golfer of the Week following his performance at the Ben Hogan Collegiate
