A trio of Crimson Tide golfers ended day one in the top 10 individuals heading into Tuesday’s final round

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 11-ranked Alabama men's golf team is tied for second overall after 36 holes played at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational presented by Charles Schwab. The Crimson Tide, one of seven teams ranked among the nation's top 11 which are competing in the 16-team field, finished the day at 4-under par 556 (274-282).

William Jennings is leading the way for UA as he sits tied for fifth overall individually after shooting 3-under par 137 (66-71), while both Bailey Sutter (69-69) and Nick Gross (69-69) are tied for seventh at 2-under 138.

Individual Highlights

Highlighted by scoring eagle on hole 18 in the first round, William Jennings had a season-best score of 4-under 66 and enters the final day one stroke back of the individual leaders
The junior is tied for the lead on par 4 scoring (-2, 3.92)
Nick Gross also scored an eagle on Hole No. 1 of the second round before finishing the first day tied for seventh at 2-under par 138
Freshman Bailey Sutter, who collected a team-best nine birdies across the opening two rounds, is tied for seventh alongside Gross to give the Tide three inside the top 10
Gross and Sutter are tied for the lead in par 5 scoring (-5, 3.75) and par 3 scoring (-2, 2.75), respectively
Miles Eubanks is in a tie for 27^th with a 143 (70-73), while Luke Powell ended the first day tied for 54^th with a 147 (74-73)

Team Highlights

No. 1 Auburn (-6) leads the field by two strokes over No. 11 Alabama (-4) and No. 14 North Carolina (-4)
No. 10 Vanderbilt (-2) is in third while No. 8 Texas (+3) rounds out the top five teams
