Finals Bound! Olar, Zimnokh Earn Spot in ITA Fall Regional Championships Doubles Final

The UA duo defeated their semifinal opponents from Troy in two sets to secure their spot in the championship match
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama’s doubles duo of Jacob Olar and Andrii Zimnokh secured a spot in Tuesday’s final at the ITA Fall Regional Championships.
The UA pairing needed only two sets to advance to the championship match. Olar and Zimnokh dominated the opening round, defeating Yeray Andres Pastor and Luciano Alcocer with a 6-2 victory. They would battle their Troy opponents to a 6-4 decision in round two to claim the match.
Olar and Zimnokh will compete in the championship match against Ole Miss’ Isac Stromberg and Kai Milburn at 10 a.m. CT. Additionally, Matic Kriznik will compete in the third-place match against Mississippi State’s Bryan Hernandez Cortes at 10 a.m., after retiring in his semifinal matchup on Monday.
