The Crimson Tide finishes ITA Kickoff Weekend with win over Sun Devils

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Alabama women's tennis team picked up its first win of the 2025 spring season Sunday after defeating Arizona State, 4-3, in the final day of the ITA Kickoff Weekend.

The Crimson Tide earned all four points from singles play, including a straight-set victory from Petra Sedlackova over No. 47 Sara Svetac, 6-2, 6-0.

Petra Sedlackova and Maria Andrienko picked up the lone doubles win for the Tide with a 6-4 victory
After a back-and-forth game on court one, Maria Martinez Vaquero and Margaux Maquet fell to ASU's Patricija Spaka and Lily Taylor, 7-6, which ultimately gave the doubles point to the Sun Devils
Sedlackova continued her success in singles by defeating No. 47 Sara Svetac in straight-sets, 6-2, 6-0
The Tide's singles success continued as Sara Nayar and Martinez Vaquero secured hard-fought three set victories on courts six and four, respectfully
Alabama clinched the match with Maquet winning in three sets over Karin Altori, 6-4, 6-7, 6-4
