CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Alabama women's tennis (0-2) dropped its first match of the ITA Kickoff Weekend to No. 9 North Carolina (4-1), 4-1, on Saturday morning. The Crimson Tide will wait to see who its opponent will be in the consolation match on Sunday, Jan. 26.

- Alabama dropped the doubles point to North Carolina after the Tar Heels claimed courts one and three, respectively, by a score of 6-1
