Tide on Tour: The American Express

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Six former Alabama men's golfers will compete this weekend on the PGA TOUR at The American Express in La Quinta, Calif. The tournament will be played January 16-19 across three courses, where players will rotate through the Pete Dye Stadium Course, La Quinta Country Club and Nicklaus Tournament Course.

Among former Alabama golfers competing at The American Express is returning champion and 2024 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year, Nick Dunlap. Setting the 72-hole course record (259) at last year's event, Dunlap, who was competing as an Alabama sophomore at the time, became the first amateur to secure a TOUR title since 1991. Less than a week following this victory, Dunlap turned pro and accepted his PGA TOUR membership.
