Jennings carded a bogey-free round of 6-under 66 to lead the Crimson Tide in Saturday’s second round

EATONTON, Ga. – The No. 16 Alabama men's golf team made a move up the leaderboard in the second round of play at the Linger Longer Invitational on Saturday, moving up to second overall with a team score of 13-under par 563 (278-285).

William Jennings led the way for the Crimson Tide in round two, carding a 6-under 66 and will come into Sunday's third and final round in second overall with a 36-hole total of 10-under par 134 (68-66).

Round Two Highlights

William Jennings continues to pace the Crimson Tide, as the nation's No. 28 ranked golfer carded a bogey-free round of 6-under 66
His 18-hole total (66) and 36-hole score (134) are both career-low marks for the sophomore
Jennings will end Sunday's final round one shot back of overall leader Grayson Wood of Georgia (133)
Jonathan Griz collected his second consecutive round of 1-under par 71 and his in a tie for 18^th position with a two-round total of 2-under par 142 (71-71)
Brycen Jones is in a tie for 24^th to give UA three golfers among the top 25 individuals with a 36-hole score of 1-under 143 (68-74)
Connor Brown is in a tie for 31^st at even par 144 (70-74) entering the final round of play
Nick Gross rounds out the Tide's starting five in 71^st place at 5-over par 149 (75-74)
Jack Mitchell, who is competing as an individual this weekend, finished the day in a tie for 56^th at 2-under par 142 (70-72)

Team Highlights

Alabama was one of just five teams who carded sub-par rounds on day two of the event
No. 34 Georgia (-31) leads the 15-team field, and enters the third round 18 shots up on No. 16 Alabama (-13)
Elon (-11), Ohio State (-10) and No. 11 Vanderbilt (-9) round out the top five teams
