
Men’s Basketball Faces Wake Forest in Birmingham for a Charity Exhibition Game

The Crimson Tide and the Demon Deacons will play on Oct. 18th at the Boutwell Auditorium
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's basketball team will partner with Wake Forest to compete in a charity exhibition game on Oct. 18 in Birmingham, Ala., at the Boutwell Auditorium. All proceeds from the contest will support the Children's of Alabama.
Presale for tickets will be available on Sept. 10th and tickets will go on sale to the public on Sept. 12th. A tipoff time will be announced at a later date.
"We are excited to partner with Wake Forest for this meaningful event that goes beyond basketball," Alabama head coach Nate Oats said. "We are looking forward to the opportunity to play in Birmingham against a quality program in Wake Forest and give back to the Children's of Alabama."
The Matchup
- This will be the second straight season the Crimson Tide and Demon Deacons will face off in a charity exhibition (Wake Forest defeated Alabama 88-80 last season)
- Wake Forest finished last season with a 21-14 record and an 11-9 record in the ACC
- The Demon Deacons return five letterwinners and three starters
- Wake Forest returns All-SEC selection Hunter Sallis, who earned First Team All-ACC honors
- Alabama is 2-5 all-time against Wake Forest and last met in the 1999 NIT (Wake Forest won 73-57)
- The Tide's roster returns five letterwinners from last year's Final Four team led by All-American Mark Sears
- Alabama welcomes the No. 2 overall signing class in the country and the No. 7 transfer signing class
