No. 9/11 Cross Country Ventures to Louisiana for Nicholls XC Invitational

The Crimson Tide returns to action Saturday morning in Thibodaux, La.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 9/11 Alabama men's and women's cross country squads will venture to Thibodaux, La., Saturday for the sixth annual Nicholls XC Invitational. Located at Nicholls Farm, the women's 5k race will start at 8 a.m. CT, with the men's 4-mile race beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Originally, the Crimson Tide was set to compete at two different meets this weekend, the FSU Pre-Regional in Tallahassee, Fla., then the Hawk Invitational in Montgomery, Ala., but both competitions were canceled in subsequent days due to the incoming, severe weather impacting the surrounding areas.
Entering the weekend, the UA men are ranked No. 9 in the nation and No. 1 in the South Region, according to the United States Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) rankings. On the women's side, Alabama sits at No. 11 nationally and No. 3 in the South Region.
