
Men’s Basketball Begins First Week of Practice

The Crimson Tide begins the season on Nov. 4 at Coleman Coliseum versus UNC Asheville
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's basketball team began official practice this week, in preparation for the 2024-25 season. The Crimson Tide returns five players from last year's team that made the program's first-ever appearance in the Final Four highlighted by All-American Mark Sears.
Fans will be able to get a first glance at this year's squad on Oct. 11 at Coleman Coliseum for the Final Four Banner reveal. The team will participate in a dunk contest, three-point competition and conclude with a scrimmage. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a replica banner and Final Four poster. Fans will be able to purchase tickets for $10, with students receiving free admission.

- Mark Sears was named the Preseason National Player of the Year by Blue Ribbon Magazine
- The Crimson Tide signed the No. 2 overall signing class including a pair of McDonald's High School All-Americans, Derrion Reid and Aiden Sherrell
- Alabama's first preseason exhibition contest takes place on Oct. 18 in Birmingham against Wake Forest
- The Tide is coming off the program's first-ever Final Four appearance, finishing with a 25-12 overall mark
