Women’s Basketball Holds First Official Practice of 2024-25 Season

The Crimson Tide opens the 2024-25 season versus New Orleans at home on November 4
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama women's basketball team held its first official practice of the 2024-25 campaign inside Coleman Coliseum Monday afternoon. The Crimson Tide returns eight players from the 2023-24 season, including Sarah Ashlee Barker and Aaliyah Nye who both earned Southeastern Conference First and Second Team honors, respectively.

- The Tide returns eight from last season's roster, including Sarah Ashlee Barker, Essence Cody, JeAnna Cunningham, Reychel Douglas, Naomi Jones, Aaliyah Nye, Jessica Timmons and Karly Weathers
- Over the offseason, Alabama welcomed six newcomers in transfers Diana Collins, Zaay Green, Christabel Ezumah and freshmen Leah Brooks, Eris Lester and Chloe Spreen
- Head Coach Kristy Curry will begin her 12th season at the helm for Alabama on Nov. 4 versus New Orleans in Coleman Coliseum
- UA will feature 14 non-conference games and 16 SEC games
- The Tide's non-conference schedule is highlighted by the SEC/ACC challenge at California (Dec. 5)
- Alabama will open SEC play at home versus Florida (Jan. 2)
- The Tide will also welcome reigning National Champions, South Carolina, to Tuscaloosa (Jan. 16)
