Third-Place Team Finish Captured by No. 9 Cross Country Contingent at Firehawk Invitational

Crimson Tide freshmen Evan Trapp and Dylan Wood’s top-five, individual finishes helped propel Alabama’s five-man contingent to a third-place team finish
DANVILLE, Ala. – The No. 9 Alabama men's cross country five-man contingent rolled to a third-place team finish at the Firehawk Invitational Saturday. The team's performance was highlighted by a pair of top-five, individual finishes from Crimson Tide freshmen Evan Trapp (25:28.31 | second) and Dylan Wood (25:43.04 | fourth).
The UA men used 72 points to secure third place, as Knox Exton (27:13.96 | 16th), Drew Dennis (27:19.00 | 18th) and Kai Crawford (28:12.44 | 32nd) rounded out Alabama's scoring five in the men's 8k.

"We had a small group out there today and I'm proud of the way each of them competed. They got some great experience and represented the University of Alabama very well. Now, we turn our sights to the next meet (Sept. 27) as we look to continuously grow and improve, moving through our season."
