
Alabama Lands Five on SEC Preseason Watch List

Leah Kunde, Gianna Paul, Nadia Ramadan, Melina Rebimbas and Gessica Skorka earned the honor
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Five members of the Alabama soccer team were named to the Southeastern Conference Preseason Watch List, the league office announced Wednesday.
Gianna Paul and Gessica Skorka are making their second appearance on the SEC preseason list, while Leah Kunde, Nadia Ramadan and Melina Rebimbas earned their first nod.
The Alabama Honorees
- Both Paul and Skorka were named to the 2023 SEC Preseason Watch List before earning First Team All-SEC honors for their command of the offense and defense, respectively, during last year's campaign
- Paul led the team in goals (8) and points (17), while Skorka tallied four assists, second most on the team, despite playing on the backline
- A 2023 SEC All-Freshman Team honoree, Nadia Ramadan tied for second on the team in goals after finding the back of the net four times
- Coming off an injury in 2022, Kunde scored a goal and tallied an assist last season, while serving as a key distributor for the Alabama offense in all 22 of the Crimson Tide's games
- A transfer from North Carolina, Rebimbas tallied three goals and three assists with the Tar Heels, in addition to serving as one of just freshmen to appear in all 23 matches
