Alabama to Compete at North Carolina Regional in ITA Kickoff Weekend Tournament

The Crimson Tide compete as the fourth-seed and will face host North Carolina
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– The Alabama women's tennis team will compete in the ITA Kickoff Weekend Tournament after securing a spot at the North Carolina Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C. The fourth-seeded Crimson Tide will open the tournament against host and top-seeded North Carolina on Jan. 25, while second-seeded Arizona State will face third-seeded Wisconsin.
The regional site winner will advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships with dates being announced at a later time.
ITA Kickoff Weekend
- Alabama will compete as the No. 4 seed
- The Tide will face top-seeded North Carolina in the opening round match while Arizona State and Wisconsin go head-to-head
- Alabama and North Carolina will meet for the first time since 2016
- The winner of both matches will compete in the regional finals on Sunday, while the two losing teams will compete in a consolation match
- Each winner from all 14 regional sites will automatically advance to the ITA National Indoor Championships
