
Junior Slugger Alexis Pupillo to Join Alabama Softball

Pupillo is a two-time NFCA All-Region honoree with 35 home runs and 98 RBIs at Northern Iowa
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball added a big bat to its lineup in rising junior Alexis Pupillo, who joins the Crimson Tide after two successful seasons at Northern Iowa.
Seeing time as a catcher and outfielder with the Panthers, Pupillo is a two-time NFCA All-Region selection with a .382 career batting average (107-for-280), 35 home runs and 98 RBIs. She was ranked in D1Softball's Top 100 player rankings following each of her two years at UNI and was the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year in 2023. The Crystal Lake, Ill., native was twice named to the MVC All-Tournament team and is a two-time First Team All-MVC honoree.
Pupillo is the fifth newcomer slated to join #Team29 in the fall of 2024 alongside incoming freshmen Braya Hodges (P – Dothan, Ala.), Mari Hubbard (IF – Huntsville, Ala.), Kennedy Marceaux (IF – Kaplan, La.) and Audrey Vandagriff (OF – Bogart, Ga.). Alabama looks to return 12 players from its 2024 Women's College World Series team.
