Lebron Named First Team Freshman All-American by NCBWA

A total of 34 first-year players were selected to the organization’s first and second teams
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama shortstop Justin Lebron was selected to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's Freshman All-America First Team, the NCBWA announced Monday.
Lebron is one of 34 standouts from the Division I level to be named to the NCBWA's Freshman All-America first and second teams for Division I. He becomes the first Crimson Tide player to earn first-team honors from the NCBWA since Thomas Burrows in 2014.

Shortstop
- Started all 57 games, including 56 at shortstop, during his rookie campaign
- Earned First Team All-SEC, Freshman All-SEC and SEC All-Defensive Team honors while also securing an invite to USA Baseball's Collegiate National Training Camp this summer
- Maintained a .338 (73-216) average with nine doubles and 12 homers
- Added 37 RBI, 50 runs, 20 walks, 16 hit-by-pitch and seven stolen bases
- Ranked second on UA in hits, average, runs and stolen bases while finishing third in homers, slugging (.546) and on-base percentage (.429)
- Improved on his average in SEC play, batting .342 (41-120) while recording four doubles, five homers, 14 RBI and 21 runs scored
- Led Alabama with 41 hits in league action, a total that tied for sixth among conference hitters, and ranked 11th in average across the SEC
