Softball Set for Supers
NCAA Super Regional action starts today for our 14th-seeded softball team, who will take on No. 3 Tennessee in Knoxville. Game 1 is slated for a 3 p.m. CT start on ESPN2, while Saturday's game 2 will begin at 2 p.m. CT. Start time for the if necessary game 3 on Sunday is to be determined.
Filip Planinsek Makes History
Congratulations to Filip Planinsek on making Alabama men's tennis history as its first student-athlete to advance to the NCAA Singles Finals. The championship match, featuring Filip and Columbia's Michael Zheng, will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m. CT.
Track and Field Competes at NCAA East Prelims
Our track and field teams wrapped up the second day of competition at the NCAA East Preliminaries on Thursday and will have two more days of action in Lexington. Thus far, four individual tickets have been punched to the national championships in Eugene by Victor Kiprop, Dennis Kipruto, Hilda Olemomoi and Victoria Faber. Men's finals are on deck for Friday with the women's set for Saturday.
NCAA Baseball Selection Show Airs Monday
The NCAA baseball field of 64 will be announced Monday at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN2. Hoping to see our squad continue competing in postseason play.
Rowing Finishes Season in Top 20
Following a third-place finish at the Big 12 Championships, our rowing team closed out its season ranked 19th in the national poll. Another great year out on the water by our squad.
Dennis Pursley to be Inducted into International Swimming Hall of Fame
Congratulations to our former head swimming and diving coach Dennis Pursley on being selected to the International Swimming Hall of Fame as an Honor Coach. He will be officially inducted in October as part of the Class of 2024.
Golf Facility Continues to Take Shape
Our new golf facility is making great progress as we continue to aim for a fall opening. This will be an exceptional home for our men's and women's golf teams, and we are so thankful to all of those who contributed to make this possible.
