
Alabama Set to Play in Inaugural Emerald Coast Classic Women’s Basketball Tournament

The Crimson Tide will tip off Thanksgiving week in Niceville, Fla., with matchups to be announced at a later date
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama will compete in the inaugural Emerald Coast Classic Women's Basketball Tournament in Niceville, Fla., presented by Global Sports. The two-day event, starting Nov. 25, will be played at Raider Arena, home of Northwest Florida State College.
Alabama will be one of eight teams competing in the holiday tournament. Including the Tide, three programs in the field reached the NCAA Round of 32 with Creighton and Syracuse achieving the feat. UAB competed in the Women's National Invitation Tournament, while Alabama State, Clemson, Missouri and Wichita State round out the field.
The tournament will feature two brackets – the Bay Bracket and the Beach Bracket. The Crimson Tide will play in the Bay Bracket along with Alabama State, Clemson and UAB, while Creighton, Missouri, Syracuse and Wichita State fill out the Beach Bracket.
