
Three Alabama Women’s Tennis Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

Klara Milicevic earns the all-district honor for the first time in her career, while Anne Marie Hiser and Ola Pitak receive the award for the second time
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Three members of the Alabama women's tennis program were named to the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
It is the first appearance on the All-District Team for Klara Milicevic, while Anne Marie Hiser and Ola Pitak earn the honor for the second consecutive year.
To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Klara Milicevic, Sophomore
- Held a 3.59 GPA during her sophomore year while pursuing a bachelor's in finance and economics
- Collected the team's third-most singles wins (13)
- Made nine appearances in the No. 5 spot in the lineup for Alabama (5-4)
- Earned an 8-2 record in the No. 6 slot for the Crimson Tide
- Milicevic and doubles partner Pitak played at the No. 3 spot in the lineup and have recorded nine victories
Anne Marie Hiser, Senior
- Maintained a 3.82 GPA en route to graduating with a bachelor's in communication studies and a minor in sport management
- Named to the 2024 All-Southeastern Conference Second Team
- Secured 13 singles victories for Alabama, including a pair of wins over ranked opponents
- Competed at the No. 3 spot and collected a 9-4 record, while earning a win in both the No. 4 and No. 5 spot in the lineup
- Hiser and doubles partner, Loudmilla Bencheikh, have remained in the ITA doubles rankings since March of 2023
- The doubles duo earned their highest ranking (No. 7) on March 19 - marking the first Alabama doubles team to be ranked in the top 10 since 2015
- The two have served at the No. 1 spot in the doubles lineup for all but two matches this season and collected 15 victories overall
Ola Pitak, Graduate Student
- Held a 3.95 GPA while earning a master's in management with a concentration in global business and marketing with a focus in digital and social media and professional sales
- Collected the team's second-highest singles victories (14), which includes a 7-2 record during SEC play
- Played at the No. 4 spot in the lineup for Alabama (9-5), while holding a 5-1 record at the No. 3 spot
- Pitak and doubles partner Klara Milicevic played at the No. 3 spot in the lineup and earned eight wins
