
Doris Lemngole Tabbed SEC Women’s Runner of the Week

Lemngole received Women’s Runner of the Week honors after clocking the fourth-fastest 1,500-meter run, this season, in the event at the Crimson Tide Invitational
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second consecutive week, an Alabama track and field student-athlete received weekly recognition from the Southeastern Conference. Doris Lemngole was named the Women's Runner of the Week after her electrifying performance in the 1,500-meter run at the Crimson Tide Invitational.
Hailing from West Pokot County, Kenya, Lemngole clocked the fourth-fastest outdoor collegiate time, this season, as well as the fastest time by an SEC runner in the women's 1,500-meter run (4:11.90) at the Crimson Tide Invitational. The freshman standout now holds the fourth-fastest time in school history.
The Crimson Tide will split up this weekend, April 11-13, having representation at both the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., as well as the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif.
