
No. 8 Alabama Prepares for NCAA Regional Final in Ann Arbor

The Crimson Tide will compete against No. 1 Oklahoma, Ohio State and Penn State as the top-two finishers on Saturday will advance to the National Championships
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The No. 8 Alabama gymnastics team will compete in the 2024 NCAA Regional Championships Final on Saturday at 4 p.m. CT in the Crisler Center on the campus of the University of Michigan.
Alabama is the No. 2 seed in the regional final, and will face No. 1 Oklahoma, Ohio State and Penn State. The four teams will all compete in a quad meet format with the Tide starting on the uneven bars before transitioning to the balance beam and the floor exercise. Alabama will close the regional final on vault.
The Crimson Tide and the Nittany Lions advanced out of Thursday's afternoon semifinal session by scoring 197.450 and 196.925, respectively, while the Sooners and the Buckeyes scored 198.050 and 196.975, respectively, in the evening semifinal session.
The top-two teams from Saturday's Regional Final will advance to the NCAA Championships. All sessions of the NCAA Regional Championships can be streamed live on ESPN+.

- All guests are required to have a ticket, regardless of age
- Tickets may be purchased online via Michigan's Ticket Office
- Free parking is available in lots surrounding Crisler Center
- Accessible parking will be available outside the Northeast entrance of Crisler Center and requires a state-issued disability parking placard
- Convenience parking is located on the football stadium concourse and will be accessed through Gate 3

Regional Semifinal Recap
- Alabama and Penn State both advanced to Saturday's regional final, with UA scoring a 197.450 and the Nittany Lions scoring a 196.925
- Ella Burgess (balance beam – 9.925) and Luisa Blanco (9.950) each claimed the highest scores of the afternoon session
- The Tide totaled eight scores of 9.9-or-higher, with LaCoursiere (9.900), Adams (9.925) and Blanco (9.950) on the uneven bars, Ella Burgess (9.925), Gabby Gladieux (9.900), Adams (9.900) and Blanco (9.900) on the balance beam, in addition to Mati Waligora hit 9.900 on the floor exercise
Alabama at the NCAA Regional Championships
- Alabama has advanced to the NCAA Regionals every year since the beginning of the format in 1982, with the exception of 2020 where the postseason was canceled due to COVID-19
- The Tide has won an NCAA-record 32 Regional team titles
- Alabama will meet all its first-round semifinal opponents for the first time this season
