Alabama returns home next weekend to host fourth-ranked Tennessee

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A seven-run first inning proved too big of a deficit to overcome as Alabama fell in Sunday's series finale to Arkansas, 8-0, in five innings.

For the third time this weekend, Alabama (31-12, 8-10 SEC) ceded the first lead of the game to Arkansas (32-12, 11-7 SEC) after a seven-run first inning gave the Razorbacks a sizable early advantage. The scored remained the same until a sac fly RBI in the bottom of the fourth set up the potential run-rule for Arkansas, with the Crimson Tide unable to score in the top of the fifth as the home team secured the weekend series in five innings.

Highlights

Alabama is now 65-16 all-time vs. Arkansas with a 27-11 mark in Fayetteville
The three-game series win is just the third for the Razorbacks over the Tide, with two of those coming at Bogle Park (2018, 2024)
Jenna Johnson was 2-for-2 in the loss, her seventh multi-hit game of the season and her third in the last four games
