The freshman tossed 8.0 scoreless frames for the win against top-ranked Arkansas on Sunday
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama left-handed pitcher Zane Adams was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. The weekly conference honor is the first of Adams' career and second for the Crimson Tide this season.
Co-Pitcher of the Week
- Helped Alabama shut out Arkansas and secure the series victory over the top-ranked Hogs
- Struck out five while allowing just four hits and one walk across his 8.0 innings of work on Sunday
- Recorded four 1-2-3 innings and allowed only one baserunner to advance past second base
- The 8.0 innings represented the longest outing by a Crimson Tide starter this season
