
Women’s Golf Remains in 11th Place at the SEC Championship

Sarah Edwards moved up 10 spots on the player leaderboard
BELLEAIR, Fla. – The Alabama women's golf team sits in 11th place after the second round of the SEC Championship as the Crimson Tide ended the day with a 36-hole score of 23-over par 583 (290-293).
Leading the way for the Tide is Sarah Edwards as the senior vaulted 10 spots up the player leaderboard, with a second round score of 1-under par 69 and now sits in 13th place at even-par 140 (71-69). Harriet Lockley is the only other UA golfer that sits in the top-25 on the player leaderboard at 4-over par 144 (71-73), tied for 24th place.
INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
- Sarah Edwards' average score on Par 4s is 3.96 at 1-under par, which is tied for the seventh lowest average amongst the field
- Edwards has posted seven birdies throughout the first two rounds, tied for the seventh most in the field
- Harriet Lockley recorded a trio of birdies in the second round, carding a score of 3-over par 73 and now sits 24th overall at 4-over par 144 (71-73)
- Kaitlyn Schroeder sits in 49th overall at 9-over par 149 (73-76)
- After carding a 5-over par 75 in the first round, Taylor Kehoe recorded another 75 in the second round with a pair of birdies
- Elina Sinz is right behind Edwards in birdies with six throughout the first 36 holes of the tournament and sits in 65th place at 14-over par 154 (77-77)
TEAM RESULTS
- South Carolina continues to sit in first place on the team leaderboard at 3-under par 557 (275-282)
- Mississippi State's Julia Lopez Ramirez moved into first place on the player leaderboard at 5-under par 66135 (67-68)
