2024 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Horizon for No. 9/13 Alabama

The Crimson Tide will make the trek to Boston to compete in the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's and women's track and field teams will take part in the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships over the weekend, in Boston, at the Track at New Balance. The Crimson Tide will be represented by a delegation of 11 student-athletes competing in nine different events over the three-day meet.
The Crimson Tide opens the three-day championship in the men's weight throw with Ruben Banks launching UA into action at 6 p.m. CT Thursday night.
The UA men maintain the No. 9 spot while the Crimson Tide women roll in as the 13th-ranked squad in the country.

- Time: First field event will begin at 6 p.m. CT, Thursday night (March 7), in the men's weight throw, with the first track event starting at 4:30 p.m., Friday (March 8), with the men's 400-meter dash prelims

- Ruben Banks claimed silver at the SEC Championships in the men's weight throw behind a 22.54-meter (73-11.50) throw
- The women's DMR squad of Hilda Olemomoi, Na'Taja Ballard, Jami Reed and Doris Lemngole claimed silver with a time of 11:04.27
- That time is now second all-time in program history
- Chris Robinson, with a bronze-medal winning performance, clocked a 45.62 in the men's 400-meter dash
- Doris Lemngole claimed silver after clocking a 9:06.21 in the women's 3000-meter run
- Hilda Olemomoi followed up with bronze in the women's 3000-meter run with a time of 9:06.39
