The Crimson Tide placed sixth place as a team in its final tournament before the SEC Championships

ATHENS, Ga. – The Alabama women's golf wrapped up the Liz Murphey Intercollegiate Saturday, finishing in sixth overall with a score of 20-over par 884 (292-297-295). The Crimson Tide was led by Harriet Lockley who finished tied for seventh overall on the player leaderboard at 1-over par 217 (69-75-73).

UA's sixth-place result is the highest finish for the Tide this Spring with five golfers cracking the top-35 on the player leaderboard.

"We are getting a little closer to being a championship team every time out. Eliminating big numbers and making more putts continues to be a priority. Harriet played great on a difficult golf course, recording her best finish as a collegiate golfer. Susan and I are so proud of the progress she has made!"

INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

Harriet Lockley posted her second top-20 finish in the last three tournaments and her first top-10 result of her collegiate career
Lockley posted the third lowest score (2.83) on Par 3s while recording 11 birdies throughout the tournament
Elina Sinz's 1-over par 73 in the final round was her lowest score this weekend, finishing tied for 24^th overall at 6-over par 222 (75-74-73) with her third top-25 finish of the season
Sarah Edwards and Taylor Kehoe tied for 34^th overall at 8-over par 224
Kaitlyn Schroeder carded her lowest round of the tournament on Saturday with a 2-over par 74, ending the tournament in 43^rd overall

TEAM RESULTS

Auburn (+1) came in first place in the 17-team field, 11 strokes ahead of second place Florida (+12)
Kansas State's Carla Bernat took home the individual title at 9-under par 207 (69-67-71)

UP NEXT

Alabama will compete in the SEC Championships in Bellair, Fla., beginning on April 12
