The Crimson Tide collects its first Southeastern Conference road win of the season

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Alabama women's tennis team swept Mississippi State, 4-0, Friday afternoon at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre, improving to 14-3 on the season.

No. 21 Alabama (14-3, 5-2 SEC) grabbed the doubles point against Mississippi State (9-9, 0-6 SEC). The Crimson Tide's Klara Milecevic and Ola Pitak defeated Dhrani Niroshan and Alessia Tagliente, 6-0, on court three, while Anna Parkhomenko and Petra Sedlackova secured the doubles point after downing Chloe Cirotte and Jayna Clemens, 6-2, on court two.

Alabama carried the momentum into the singles matches and swept the next three games to collect the 4-0 victory over the Bulldogs. Anne Marie Hiser defeated Mississippi State's Chloe Cirotte (6-1, 6-1) in straight sets at the No. 3 spot, while Klara Millecevic downed Jayne Clemens (6-3, 6-0) at the No. 5 spot. The Tide's No. 104 nationally-ranked Petra Sedlackova clinched the victory for Alabama on court two, defeating Maria Rizzolo (6-4, 6-4).
