Harriet Lockley finishes with her highest finish during her freshman season

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Alabama women's golf team ended play at the Valspar Augusta Invitational in 10th position overall with a team total of 880 (289-289-302) across the two-day, 54-hole tournament. Harriet Lockley recorded her highest finish of her freshman campaign, leading Alabama in 17^th place on the player leaderboard, carding an even-par 216 (71-71-74).

After play was paused on Friday in the second round due to weather, the 54-hole tournament hosted by Augusta contested at the par 72, 6,261-yard Forest Hills Club in Augusta, Ga. was resumed on Sunday.

INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

Alabama posted the third most pars (173) throughout the invitational
The Tide had four players rank in the top-24 in Par 3 scores in Harriet Lockley (2.92) and Mattie Frick, Elina Sinz and Kaitlyn Schroeder all shooting even-par
Lockley's score of 1-under par on Par 3s was one of 19 players to score under par on Par 3s throughout the tournament
Lockley's 17^th place finish is the highest finish of her freshman season and the highest finish by an Alabama player this Spring
After finishing her second round at 3-under par 69, Sinz finished in 37^th overall, carding 4-over par (76-69-75/220)
Sarah Edwards wrapped up the invitational at 47^th overall at 7-over par 223 (73-74-76)
Schroeder placed 58^th on the player leaderboard at 9-over par 225 (73-75-77)
Taylor Kehoe rounded out the UA golfers tied for 62nd overall (72-76-78/226)
Mattie Frick competed in the event as an individual and finished tied for the 84^th position overall with an 18-over 234 (82-75-77)

TEAM RESULTS

Ole Miss took home first place at 8-under par 856 (276-283-297)
Florida State's Mirabel Ting won the individual title at 7-under par 209 (68-74-67)
