Davis II Named Second Team All-SEC in League’s Preseason Baseball Poll

The Crimson Tide was selected to finish fourth in the West and eighth overall by the league coaches
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama's Alton Davis II was selected as a preseason All-SEC Second Team honoree by the conference's head coaches, the league office announced on Thursday morning.
The coaches also voted on the league's projected order of finish. The Crimson Tide was picked to finish fourth in the Western Division and eighth overall in the conference.

- Coming off a standout freshman campaign where he served as the Crimson Tide's primary closer
- Appeared in 25 games out of the bullpen, finishing with a 1-2 record and eight saves
- His eight saves led UA and tied for second in the conference last season
- Six of the eight stops came in SEC play, tying for the league lead
- Maintained a 2.76 ERA (5 ER/16.1 IP) with six saves against conference foes
