Sarah Ashlee Barker Named SEC Co-Player of the Week

Barker picks up her first Southeastern Conference weekly honor of the season
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama women's basketball senior guard Sarah Ashlee Barker has been named the Co-Player of the week for the first time this season, the Southeastern Conference announced Tuesday.
The Birmingham, Ala., native averaged 24.5 points per game and 10 rebounds per game during the Crimson Tide's back-to-back road wins over Arkansas on Feb. 1 (86-70) and Vanderbilt on Feb. 5 (74-66).
- Barker picked up her third consecutive 20-plus point game in the win over Vanderbilt
- Recorded her second consecutive double-double in the team's win over Arkansas (24 points, 10 rebounds)
- Barker shot 66 percent from both the field (8-12) and the charity stripe (6-9), while also shooting 60 percent from deep during the win on Feb. 1
- During the win on Feb. 5, Barker recorded a game-high six assists and nine rebounds
- The guard leads Alabama in scoring, averaging 17.3 points per game
- Barker ranks fourth in the SEC in field goal percentage (52.9)
