Nick Dunlap Wins PGA Tour Event; Goes Pro
In the days after winning The American Express title, golfer Nick Dunlap announced he was turning professional by accepting his PGA Tour membership. His 29-under par 259 made him the first amateur golfer to win a PGA Tour event since Phil Mickelson did so in 1991. We are so proud of Nick for his accomplishments and how he represents The University of Alabama, and we are excited to follow along as he sees his dreams come true competing on the Tour.
Top-10 Gymnastics Matchup on Deck
Friday's gymnastics meet features a pair of top-10 teams with our 6th-ranked squad and No. 3 Kentucky. Tickets are available and can be purchased through the Alabama Ticket Office. First rotation is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Coleman Coliseum.
Men's Basketball Returns Home for Saturday Evening Game with State
We'll face our second team of Bulldogs this week with Saturday's game against Mississippi State, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Coleman. Tickets are sold out through the Alabama Ticket Office but can be purchased through our partners at SeatGeek.
Men's Tennis Knocks off No. 10 Kentucky to Advance to ITA Indoor Championships
Congratulations to our men's tennis team for punching its ticket to the ITA Indoor Championships with wins over Nebraska and No. 10 Kentucky last weekend. Prior to heading to New York for the national event, Coach Husack's squad will be in action at home, taking on Kennesaw State and Tennessee Tech Saturday, February 3 in a doubleheader with matches at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. Reminder that admission is free to all tennis matches.
Track and Field Heads West for New Mexico Collegiate Classic
Members of our men's and women's indoor track and field teams, ranked 13th and 14th respectively, are en route to Albuquerque for the New Mexico Collegiate Classic, which runs Friday, February 2 through Saturday, February 3. Last time out at the Bob Pollock Invitational, our squads captured nine first-place finishes and set two school records, including Oussama El Bouchayby, who broke UA's school record (1:14.88) in the 600-meter event, clocked the second-fastest time in NCAA Track and Field collegiate history and recorded the fifth-fastest time in world history.
Baseball Fan Day set for Saturday, February 10
Baseball will hold its annual Fan Day at Sewell-Thomas Stadium on Saturday, February 10. The free event will feature inflatable bounce houses and slides along with a face painter and a balloon artist on-site. Kids will also have the opportunity to meet Big Al and get autographs from the team. Additionally, fans will be able to get an up-close look at the 2024 team by signing up for an on-field experience during the Tide's batting practice session. Check-in opens at 11 a.m. for the on-field experience, while the scrimmage is slated for a 1 p.m. start. Be sure to register ahead of time if you plan on attending.
Softball Gears up for Start of 2024 Season
We are one week away from the start of the 2024 softball season, which will commence in Atlanta at the Buzz Classic, February 8-10. In addition host Georgia Tech, we will face Villanova and Longwood in the three-day event.
A-Day and Homecoming Dates Announced
This year's Golden Flake A-Day Spring Football Game will be played on Saturday, April 13 in Bryant-Denny Stadium, while the 2024 Homecoming Game has been slated for Saturday, October 26 versus Missouri. More details for A-Day, including kick time and additional activities surrounding the game, will be announced at a later date.
Black History Month: Celebrating our Voices
Throughout the month of February, we will hear from Crimson Tide student-athletes on what Black History Month means to them through our "Celebrating our Voices" thread on social media. We also have a page dedicated to Tide Trailblazers, featuring videos of those who led the way in their respective sports and helped build the Crimson Tide's tradition of excellence.
National Girls & Women in Sports Day
Wednesday, February 7 marks the 38th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day - an occasion dedicated to honoring the achievements of female student-athletes, coaches and leaders and highlighting the power of sports to unlock the limitless potential of women and girls. The Crimson Tide Foundation invites you to celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day by supporting the scholarships that make it possible for our student-athletes to experience personal growth through sports participation, win championships and earn a degree from The University of Alabama. Double your impact when you give to the Crimson Tide Scholarship Fund (CTSF) – the annual scholarship fund for Alabama Athletics – as the Alabama ONE Aspire Foundation will match dollar-for-dollar the first $25,000 contributed to the CTSF between January 31 and February 7. February 1 Tide Totals Deadline
TIDE PRIDE members, today marks the February 1 Tide Totals priority points calculation deadline. You can support the education of our student-athletes while earning Tide Totals priority points by donating to the Crimson Tide Scholarship Fund (CTSF). The CTSF provides annual scholarship support for our student-athletes, offsetting the costs of tuition, educational fees, books and room and board. Donations to the CTSF earn three Tide Totals points per $100 donated. Visit crimsontidefoundation.org/ctsf to give.

Football TIDE PRIDE and season ticket renewals period begins today, February 1. Be sure to renew your TIDE PRIDE and season tickets before the April 1 deadline to secure your seats for the exciting seven-game home schedule that features matchups with Georgia and Auburn. If you are interested in obtaining football season tickets and you are not a current Football TIDE PRIDE member, we encourage you to join the waiting list.
University Spotlight
Great story here on UA's apparel design students creating custom clothing for members of the adaptive athletics teams. This three-year collaborative project with UNC Greensboro is part of a $300,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Institute of Food and Agriculture fostering awareness of the importance of adaptive apparel merchandising and design.
