COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Alabama volleyball won the opening set Friday night vs. Texas A&M before the Aggies won the next three to take the match in four sets.
Tied 4-4 early in set one, Alabama (10-10, 2-7 SEC) started to pull away before Texas A&M (15-4, 6-3 SEC) was forced to take its first timeout trailing 12-7. The Aggies kept it close, eventually drawing within a point late at 23-22. A Texas A&M service error gave the Crimson Tide set point and a kill from Kyla Dunaway in the next rally gave Alabama the 25-22 win. After eight tie scores early in the second set, the Aggies took the lead at 11-10 and remained in front the rest of the way, winning 25-19 to even the match at 1-1.
