
Alabama Falls to Arkansas in Three Sets Sunday in Fayetteville

The Crimson Tide returns home Wednesday to host No. 25 Auburn
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Alabama volleyball fell to Arkansas in three sets Sunday on the road by set scores of 17-25, 22-25 and 16-25.
Alabama (9-7, 1-4 SEC) traded back and forth with Arkansas (14-2, 4-0 SEC) in the early stages of set one before the Razorbacks added some cushion with a 7-1 run to lead 15-8. The home team closed out the set with a 5-1 run to defeat the Crimson Tide, 25-17. Alabama jumped ahead to an early 4-2 lead in the second set and, later trailing 7-6, the Tide would rattle off six unanswered points to build a 12-7 lead. The Razorbacks found some momentum late in the set, coming back to tie it up at 22-22 as Alabama burned both its timeouts in the process. The Razorbacks went on to complete the comeback and win, 25-22, to take a 2-0 match lead. The score was tied twice in the early goings of the third, 4-4 and 5-5, but Arkansas remained in front for the remainder to win, 25-16, and take the match.
NOTES
- Chaise Campbell now has 298 career blocks, two away from 300 for her career
- Kayla Keshock finished the match with 25 assists, giving her 2978 for her career, putting her 22 away from the 3,000 mark
- Francesca Bertucci finished with 19 digs, her second-highest total in SEC play this year
- Lily Hopkins made her SEC debut this season after appearing in 10 conference games as a freshman last year
