The senior from Muscle Shoals, Ala. earns his first career SEC Player of the Week honor

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's basketball guard Mark Sears has been named the SEC Co-Player of the Week, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday. This is Sears' first career SEC Player of the Week honor, sharing the honor with Tennessee's Dalton Knecht.

Averaged 26.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists against South Carolina and Mississippi State
Shot 64 percent from the field, 61.5 percent from three-point range and a perfect 13-13 from the free throw line
Recorded his second 30-point game of the season with 31 points against South Carolina
Scored double-figures in every game this season
Leads in the SEC in scoring this season, averaging 20.3 points per game
Scoring a league-best 24.7 points per game during SEC contests
