Freshman Andrii Zimnokh remains undefeated in the tournament, winning all three of his doubles matches and two singles matches

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– Sophomore Yair Sarouk and freshman Andrii Zimnokh recorded a pair of doubles wins and a singles victory to pace the Alabama men's tennis team on the second day of competition at the SEC/Big Ten Challenge.

Additionally, Filip Planinsek and Matias Ponce De Leon went 1-1 in doubles, while Planinsek captured a come-from-behind win in singles to round out the day.

The Southeastern Conference has won 31 of 42 matches over two days of competition.

The Competition

The Crimson Tide won three of four doubles matches as Sarouk and Zimnokh went 2-0 on the day
Sarouk and Zimnokh defeated Mutjaba Ali-Khan and Daniel Labrador 6-4 before taking a default win over Alex Cairo and Mert Oral
Planinsek and Ponce De Leon downed Alesksa Krivokapic and Stefan Simeunovic 6-4
After an opening set tiebreaker, Zimnokh fought his way to a two-set, 7-6 (2), 6-2 victory over Oral
Planinsek recorded a come-from-behind win in singles play, battling Bickersteth through a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 match

Alabama will conclude tournament play at the SEC/Big Ten Challenge on Sunday
Singles matches will begin at 10 a.m. CT at the Alabama Tennis Stadium
