The Crimson Tide netted goals from Cameron Silva and Felicia Knox in the match
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 7 Alabama soccer team tied Tennessee 2-2 in an exhibition match at the Alabama Soccer Stadium Tuesday night.
The Crimson Tide took an early lead with goals from Cameron Silva (34th minute) and Felicia Knox (51st minute). Late goals from the Lady Vols would tie the game at 2-2 with Tennessee scoring in the 77th and 83rd minute of the game.
The Game
- Cameron Silva scored the Crimson Tide's first goal, picking up a deflected ball from the Tennessee goalkeeper on the goal line. Silva headed the ball back towards net to score UA's first goal in the 33rd minute.
- Marianna Annest was awarded a penalty kick after being tripped in the box. Felicia Knox stepped up to take the kick, sinking the ball into the back of the net for a 2-0 UA lead.
- Samantha Agresti scored Tennessee's first goal off a corner kick. The kick from Linette Hofmann found the head of Kate Runyon before traveling to the back post for Agresti to head in.
- A driving ball from Jenna Stayart in the 83rd minute of the game evened the score as the shot from outside the box found the corner of the net.
