
Knox, Gemelli Named to MAC Hermann Watch List

Knox and Gemelli have garnered national attention heading into the 2023 season after leading the NCAA in statistical categories last season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Seventh-ranked Alabama soccer's Felicia Knox and Itala Gemelli were named to the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List to open the 2023 season.Â
A 2022 All-American, Knox paced the NCAA in assists last season with a school-record of 20 on the year, while transfer Itala Gemelli tallied an NCAA-leading seven game-winning goals with Dayton. Â
The Hermann Trophy is the highest individual honor awarded in intercollegiate soccer and is given to the best individual male and female player, as voted on by NCAA Division I soccer coaches and announced by the United Soccer Coaches and Missouri Athletic Club (MAC).

- Knox was named to the Southeastern Conference Preseason Watchlist, the United Soccer Coaches Midfielders list and TopDrawerSoccer's Preseason Best XI First Team to start the seasonÂ
- Last year, she finished the season ranked 11th nationally in points (34) after scoring seven goalsÂ
- Gemelli was recognized on 2023 United Soccer Coaches' Forwards listÂ
- Gemelli earned A-10 All-Conference first-team honors and led the A-10 in goals scoring a total of 12
